John and Taylor’s NJ engagement photos were so much fun to capture on Sunset Beach in Cape May! Sunset Beach is one of the spots where the sun sets over the ocean and it always turns out to be such a stunning sunset. On this day, it was actually a bit rainy but we had such a fun time together and it turned out to be so pretty! Their engagement session was such a blast, we ran around on the beach and ended with a super fun pop of champagne!

John and Taylor had reached out and scheduled an engagement session with me and I was so excited once we chatted about their overall vision for their session. For my couples, I love to connect and chat before your session to really come up with a fun vision for your shoot! John and Taylor are having a destination wedding in Mexico, so we knew we wanted it to be on the beach to keep it the same kind of feel. The goal was “intimate but classy” and I think we nailed exactly that.

The day of the session it was raining on and off but we waited the storm out and we were able to work around it. When getting onto the beach the high winds were a little tricky but we totally embraced it and had the best time together running around the beach. I truly was like a third wheel capturing their love as it unfolded in front of me.
