Cape May Lighthouse Proposal

This Cape May Engagement was such a dream to photograph! Nick and Katie are such sweet people an I feel so happy I was able to photograph their wedding proposal for them. Nick had reached out to me to shoot his proposal to Katie. First of all, shoutout to all the men who plan a proposal with a photographer! We had texted back and forth and chatted on the phone about our plan and how things would go down step by step. He was fully prepared and nothing was up in the air for their biggest moment. Katie fully thought they were going to watch the sunset on the beach before a dinner he had planned down Cape May, New Jersey. Little did she know, Nick had the best surprise for her!

Cape May Engagement | Nick and Katie’s Proposal Story

Proposals are so much fun because you get to be discreet and hide away as a photographer. I watched Nick an Katie walk down to the beach and pretended to be taking photos of the lighthouse. To her surprise, I wasn’t just a photographer taking photos of a lighthouse that evening. I was there to shoot one of the biggest moments of her life. Nick got down on one knee and proposed and Katie was SO happy and totally surprised! It was the most beautiful sunset that night and Katie said YES. Of course me being me, we took a few photos following the proposal for them to have and cherish. I congratulated them and left so they could enjoy their first sunset, ENGAGED. Nick and Katie are getting MARRIED!!
